What is the Goodwill WorkNOW! Project?
Goodwill WorkNOW! is part of the State of Wisconsin Transitional Jobs Demonstration Project that provides employment opportunities for qualified low-income adults. This project offers unemployed individuals, who meet certain criteria, the opportunity for training, support services and job placement and receive wages for the work they perform.
What are the eligibility guidelines for the Goodwill WorkNOW! Project?
- Anyone between the ages of 21 and 64 years old
- Individuals older than 24 must be the biological or adoptive parent or the primary care giver for a child under the age of 18 who is a relative
- Unemployed for at least four weeks
- Ineligible for unemployment insurance benefits and W2
- Have an annual household income level less than 150% of the federal poverty level
- Must be a Wisconsin resident
- Must be a U.S. Citizen or qualified alien
- Did not work 1,040 hours in another Transitional Job
