What is the Goodwill WorkNOW! Project?

Goodwill was recently selected to participate in the State of Wisconsin Transitional Jobs Demonstration Project which offers employers subsidies for hiring transitional workers. This is exciting news for employers because the Goodwill WorkNOW! project can provide staffing solutions at greatly reduced costs for your business.

Have you been awarded a new contract, are you experiencing a surge in production; or expanding your business? If so, you can take advantage of wage subsidies for up to six months per qualified transitional jobs worker when you utilize a Goodwill WorkNOW! worker. The bottom line, we make it easy for you to get the help you need – there are no complicated contracts or piles of forms to complete, or long-term commitments required.

What opportunities does Goodwill WorkNOW! offer your business?

You need employees – we have workers. We are able to combine the training and support services Goodwill is known for, along with the resources of Goodwill TalentBridge, our own professional recruiting and placement firm, to provide you with the right employees to meet your business needs. We provide contract (temporary) personnel at significantly reduced rates for up to 6 months per qualified employee. Also, there are no transition (temp-to-hire) fees if you choose to hire a transitional jobs worker.

When you use a Goodwill WorkNOW! transitional jobs worker you get a worker who has completed up to 8 days of training prior to being placed in your company, and they have been pre-screened to match your company qualifications and requirements, including pre-employment drug screens.

What is the Goodwill WorkNOW! difference?

When you tell us you want a Goodwill WorkNOW! employee, we go to work for you. The individuals placed in your company are our employees, not yours. That means we take on all of the payrolling, taxes, record-keeping, employee relationship management and reporting, not you. Our goal is to make it easy for you to do business with us, and get great talent as well. At some point, if you would like to hire a Goodwill WorkNOW! employee, you can, and again, there are no transition fees if you do.
